SUMMARY:Prime Time Gay Men’s Retreat
DESCRIPTION:THE CONCEPT \nThis year\, we take a look at aging\, whilst acknowledging and grieving the things that aging may strip us of. We also want to explore the idea that: \n\nWe can find a flow of continual improvement throughout lif\nThe final stages of life might be the most fulfilling.\nAging can bring freedom from society’s expectations.\nOur later years may hold fewer financial and time constraints.\nWe can let go of our own self-limiting ideas.\nWe can dream for ourselves\, a fulfilling and abundant old age.\n\nWe can become confident in the resources we have amassed over decades and their value to our communities.\n \nA MODULAR RETREAT \nOver 11 consecutive days we will be offering three modules\, which can be combined or taken as one-off workshops.\nAs in previous years we will be curating a clothing optional space\, blending practices and experiences taken from : \n• Tantra tradition\n• Modern somatic and conscious sexuality traditions • Radical Faerie Culture\n• Personal growth\n• Queer intentional communities\n• Sacred Intimacy\n• And many other traditions. \nWe will create a temporary\, nourishing\, heart-centered community\, rooted in embodiment\, authenticity\, and shared experience. A space where we can share touch\, intimacy\, and whatever we need to support each other in our personal growth and expansion. \n \nTHE MODULES \nModule One: \nFriday 3rd July – Monday 6th July\nMEET YOURSELF WHERE YOU ARE – GENTLY EXPAND TO BECOME EVEN MORE\nA beginner-friendly weekend combining mindfulness\, somatic awareness\, conscious touch\, yoga\, meditation\, and tantric practices. Also suitable for experienced participants. \nModule Two: \nMonday 6th July – Wednesday 8th July\nMEET YOUR RESOURCES – NATURE\, FRIENDS\, TOUCH AND SIMPLY JUST BEING\nA relaxed\, self-created mini-retreat\, for those curious about community in the Radical Faerie culture.\nTake time out to relax\, unwind and connect.\nThese will be un-programmed ‘hanging-out’ days\, focused on community living. With shared cooking\, cuddling and chilling\, maybe optional taster workshops\, and opportunities to explore the land and beautiful surrounding areas together. \nModule Three: \nWednesday 8th July – Monday 13th July\nMEET YOUR FUTURE SELF – IMAGINE THE MOST MATURE AND COMPLETE EXPRESSION OF YOURSELF\nA reflective\, in-depth exploration of aging as gay and queer men* — embracing slowing down\, compassion\, and life beyond society’s pressure to stay young.\nThere will be chances to mourn what’s lost but also to dream into being what could be. \nAll modules are aimed primarily at exploring the experience of those who identify on a spectrum of masculinity. You will know whether this is you or not.
