SUMMARY:Gay\, Bi\, Trans Men's Mindfulness Group
DESCRIPTION:Looking for something different from the usual night out? A chance to slow down\, meet other men and reconnect with yourself? \nSince 2009\, 15–40 gay\, bi and trans men have been meeting every Monday in central London for meditation\, relaxation and connection. \nIt’s a warm\, friendly and non-judgmental space where you can simply arrive as you are. Some people come for the meditation\, some for the sense of community\, and many for both.\nNo meditation experience is needed. Everything is guided\, and experienced meditators are equally welcome. \nWhat happens?\nWe begin with gentle movement and grounding before moving into a guided meditation. Halfway throughthe evening we stop for tea and an informal chat\, an important part of the evening and a chance to get to know people. After the break\, we explore a second practice. This changes from week to week and might include loving-kindness\, self-compassion\, mindfulness of the body\, gratitude\, breathwork or other contemplative practices. The emphasis isn’t on being good at meditation. It’s about learning ways to become more present\, less reactive and kinder towards ourselves — while practising alongside other gay\, bi and trans men. \nWhy a space specifically for gay\, bi & trans men?\nThere can be something very different about practising in a space where you don’t have to explain or edit parts of yourself. The group offers an opportunity to slow down\, connect with others and develop friendships outside the usual bars\, clubs\, dating apps and nightlife. \nPeople come for many different reasons: reducing stress\, developing a meditation practice\, meeting others\, navigating difficult periods in their lives\, or simply having two hours each week to stop. \nMonday evenings\n7–9pm · Doors open 6.45pm\nFriends Meeting House\n52 St Martin’s Lane\, London WC2N 4EA\nNear Leicester Square & Charing Cross\nChairs are provided\, with mats and cushions available if you prefer sitting on the floor.\n£10 first visit · £16 standard · £13 concession \nPlease check the facilitator’s website and/or contact them directly before attending\, as event details can sometimes change. We recommend confirming the latest information\, including dates\, times\, location and any other practical details. \nLike this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Pleasure Medicine | Ecstatic Dance For GBTQ+ Men
DESCRIPTION:An afternoon of connection\, community and sober dance FOR GAY\, BI\, TRANS\, QUEER & QUESTIONING MEN \nPleasure Medicine is a fortnightly Saturday afternoon event in East London for gay\, bi\, trans\, queer and questioning men. It’s part connection workshop\, part conscious dance with a DJ\, part community gathering. \nAlcohol/substance free\, welcoming\, warm and unlike anything else in London right now for GBTQ+ men. \nYou show up. You meet everyone in the room through some warm\, playful facilitated exercises that foster connection\, platonic intimacy and opening. \nThen you dance for an hour and a half to a DJ set spanning disco\, soul\, deep house\, tribal and everything in between. Then we gather in the park or a nearby cafe for the social afters.\nWhy do men keep coming back? \nBecause most gay spaces don’t support the kind of deeper connection\, vulnerability\, intimacy\, warmth\, kindness\, fun\, joy and delight you’re actually looking for as a gay man. \nPleasure Medicine is the opposite. \nNobody here is trying to be the hottest or the coolest or the most confident in the room. We practise being real. That may mean you feel nervous or awkward your first few times. Or it may mean you let your inner showgirl out and spin around the room liberated! \nOr both. Who knows? But here you get to practise being your authentic self whatever that looks like. It’s all welcome here. \nA lot of men come alone the first time\, nervous\, not sure what to expect. Most of them are back the following fortnight. Some of them have been coming since the very beginning\, a year and a half ago. \nWhat happens? \nThe opening circle: We all sit down together and your facilitator walks you through how the afternoon works. The guidelines\, the agreements\, what’s okay and what isn’t\, what to expect and what not to. By the end of it you know exactly where you are\, what the room has agreed to and that someone is holding you through it all. Most men say this is the moment they relax. \nThe connection workshop: An hour of light and fun exercises\, games and practices designed to get youactually meeting the other men in the room. Not awkward small talk. Not standing next to someone hoping they’ll speak first. Real\, warm\, human contact with other men. You are guided with clear instruction on what to do. And you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to \nThe Pleasure Medicine dance: A 90 minute live DJ set of disco\, soul\, deep house\, ambient\, funk and tribal music. No choreography to follow\, no moves to learn\, no right way to do it. You can throw yourself around or barely move. You can explore new ways of moving your body. Everything is welcome. \nThe closing circle: Everyone sits down together to close out the time we’ve shared. Some men share their experience and how they’re feeling. Some men say nothing and just sit with it. No pressure. Just a gentle closing of a magical afternoon. \nThe social hangout: Many guys carry on after the session in the park or a nearby cafe to eat\, grab coffee and meet each other properly. This is where friendships\, collaborations and community start building \n“I’ve been avoiding coming for months. I’m so glad I finally came because it has been one of the most moving and beautiful experiences being here with you all. I wish I’d broken through and come sooner.”\n“I found a part of myself I thought I’d lost.”\n“I didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought of me\, and yet I cared so much about everyone there. ” \nPlease check the facilitator’s website and/or contact them directly before attending\, as event details can sometimes change. We recommend confirming the latest information\, including dates\, times\, location and any other practical details. \nLike this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Body Rooted Itimacy
DESCRIPTION:Are you fed up with dating apps? Looking to make a deep connection for friendship or partnership? \nYou are definitely not alone! Many people find dating apps exhausting\, leading to superficial connections rather than the deep\, meaningful relationships they are actually looking for. \nSo\, what is the alternative\, I hear you ask?! \nI have created just the thing: an evening of tantric yoga\, partner work\, and some fun games to help cultivate intimacy not only with others but with yourself. \nThis evening involves connection\, consensual touch\, and nudity. \nLike this:Like Loading…
